Ethan is an Ottawa based songwriter, singer, and guitarist playing antique and original music inspired by his roots in the Ottawa Valley. While his guitar playing is steeped in old-time traditions, his writing is rife with aphorisms and little comforts for the modern age. He writes about cowboys, country folk, city folk, lonesome folk, friendly folk, and any minor inconvenience that rouses his imagination. Following the release of his debut album “Western Movies” in early 2025, he’s gearing up to release his second record “That Boy Ain’t Right” in Fall 2026.
Stew & Alice are a local folk/celtic duo known for their quirky, folksy covers of songs and tunes of all sorts. Flatpicked guitar, blistering fiddle, banjos, harmonicas, and even the occasional shruti box…. lay out the foundation for their mellifluous harmonies and honest storytelling. At a Stew & Alice show, you might hear a Django-esque cover of a Beatles tune. Or a Bach partita, bluegrass style. Or maybe a traditional celtic arrangement of a Led Zeppelin rocker. Why not?
